Patricia L. Silverstein, President & Chief Economist
Patricia Silverstein has provided research and support for economic development efforts in Colorado and across the country since 1989. Her expertise in economic research and economic development includes industry cluster studies and strategic economic development planning. She has extensive experience in preparing economic impact and fiscal impact analysis for community development purposes. In addition, she serves as the consulting chief economist for the Metro Denver Economic Development Corp. and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. In these roles, she compiles, interprets, and forecasts economic and demographic data for the Denver metropolitan area and performs in-depth research on issues and proposed developments impacting the region. Ms. Silverstein provides numerous presentations on state and local economic conditions to business and professional organizations throughout the year.
Ms. Silverstein received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Patty is active in a number of business and professional organizations, including member of the Governor’s Revenue Estimating Advisory Committee, the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER), the Economic Development Council of Colorado, and the Denver Association of Business Economists.
Jesse D. Silverstein, Vice President and Director of Real Estate Economics
Jesse Silverstein has extensive experience in preparing real estate market studies, public finance analysis, and economic/fiscal impact analysis for a variety of public-private development and redevelopment projects. Local and state governments, redevelopment agencies, and private investors utilize Jesse’s advisory services to make critical decisions regarding real estate investment and economic development opportunities. Mr. Silverstein’s experience includes positions as founder and executive director of the nonprofit Colorado Brownfields Foundation, director at Equitable Real Estate Investment Management, and chief appraiser for the Resolution Trust Corporation (a division of FDIC) in Washington, D.C.
Jesse is past president of the Denver Association of Business Economists and has authored articles on redevelopment in various local, national, and academic publications. He served as a governor-appointed member of the Colorado Petroleum Storage Tank Committee, and currently is a board member of the Colorado School of Mines Table Mountain Research Center and the nonprofit Community Builders.
Mr. Silverstein holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Delaware, a master’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado Boulder, and has an MAI professional designation in commercial real estate analysis from the Appraisal Institute.
